The Hawkes Bay Spring Melee

The first round of the HB Spring Melee was played on Sunday 16th August. Ten players turned up and had a great time despite the rain. We played four games and mixed up the teams really well. Winner of the melee was Barb and received a bottle of wine. Last player was Maurice who won a bottle of Spumante. To anyone who may be reading this news item and didn't come along, please have a go. We have very few competitions at this time of the year and your name gets called out of a hat and you get teamed up with the next name out of the hat. We all gained a lot from being able to play with people we would not normally get a chance to. We look forward to seeing you all at the next round on Sunday at the Napier Club at 12.30pm.
