The French Tour of Otaki on DVD

Hi Tom, here is the dvd cover. It is retailing @$35 available from the Otaki Petanque club. The dvd covers an introduction by members of the Otaki Petanque club, the welcome by Darren Huges MP and the president of the Wellington Petanque Association, footage of the French showing their skills and 3 games against teams from Wanganui, Park Ave and Kapiti. There is also footage of Otaki and a Maori welcome and some photos of New Zealand as the French asked for these to be put in as they never saw much of the country on their whirlwind tour. I will take some photos of the dvd launch on the 13th April and email them to you. Cheers, Errol.

There will be a special screening of the film at 7pm on April 13th, 2008 at the Otaki Bowling Club, 15 Waerenga Road, Otaki. All petanque members are welcome to attend. The showing will be preceded by drinks and takeaway dinner from 5.30pm. Copies of the DVD can be purchased on the night. For those unable to attend the cost of the DVD is $35 plus $3.20 packing and postage.

20/08/2011 - I have been informed that this DVD is no longer available from Anna Simms. It is unclear if it is available at all - I hope it is, as PNZ had invested a large amount of money in 2008 to bring the French team to NZ. -Tom.

Let us know what you think of this DVD:

comment 1) Just to let you know we had the DVD showing on Sunday night and a great show it was. Errol Maffey (Nimlin Films) did a great job. Petanque players and officials are interviewed, including from Petanque NZ and the French demonstartions and a couple of matches make it a great coaching video. -Anna

comment 2) Good DVD, well worth a watch! -Simon
