The Club was established in 1995 when the Rotorua Bowling Club offered a group of interested people a practice bowling green they were not using. A doubles tournament was established in 1996 on ANZAC weekend when 64 teams competed. This year the 10th Anzac Tournament took place on 4/5 March 2006 with a special commerative medal being given to each of the players.
